All-Solid Construction
The Fender Malibu Special Mahogany has been made with a solid mahogany top which is supported by a solid mahogany back and sides.
As a result, you get beautifully rich tone with the bright character only genuine mahogany delivers.
Furthermore, being made entirely of solid wood, not only does the Fender Malibu Special sound fantastic, it'll improve with age as the wood becomes more resonant.
With the Fender Malibu Player's more compact size it is easy to hold and it boasts a balanced, articulate tone that's great for recording.
Within the body, there is quartersawn scalloped X bracing ensuring superior resonance.
Attached to the body is a mahogany neck which features a slim-taper "C" shaped profile for a great playing feel inspired by Fender's legendary electric guitars.
That, coupled with its satin finish, means this neck is incredibly comfortable to play.
The Stratocaster style headstock on the Fender Malibu Special has a tilt-back design which further increases sustain.
Upgraded Electronics and High Quality Hardware
Designed in a collaboration between both Fender and Fishman, the electronics on the Fender Malibu Special boast great features.
Voiced specifically for the Fender Malibu Special's body shape, the electronics are able to faithfully capture the guitar's voice when plugged in.
Volume, bass and treble controls allow you to get the sound just right when performing live while the phase control helps you prevent feedback during your show.
For added convenience, the Fender Malibu Special also boasts a built-in tuner for quick and easy tuning of your electro-acoustic guitar whenever you need it.
Up on the 6-in-line headstock, you'll find six sealed nickel tuners offering precise tuning.
Down on the body there's a great looking modern viking stlye bridge providing great transfer of energy from your strings to the solid mahogany top.
