Crafting the Fender Malibu Classic
To ensure the best possible tone, the Malibu Classic has been crafted using all solid wood.
Solid Sitka Spruce has been used for the guitar's top as is it is incredibly responsive and dynamic, making it suitable for all playing styles while the solid Mahogany back and sides work together with the top for an all around well-balanced and organic tone.
The body also features optimised bracing which reduces mass and enhances resonance.
Attached is an easy-to-play, slim-taper C-shape profile neck which has a satin finish and a Pau Ferro fretboard, providing you with a beautifully smooth and slinky playing feel.
Koa binding ensures a secure build while adding an extra touch of class along with its matching Koa rosette.
Specially Voiced Electronics
A premium Fender and Fishman designed preamp system, specifically voiced for the Malibu body shape, has been installed and allows you to plug into an amp to play live and loud without compromising your guitar's natural sound.
Volume, treble and bass can all be adjusted individually so you can easily dial-in the perfect tone while a built-in tuner allows you to tune your strings at all times without having to take along a separate tuner.
At the headstock, you'll find sealed nickel tuning machines allowing for quick and easy tuning of your strings.
Down on the body, there's a modern Viking style Pau Ferro bridge with a compensated saddle, providing excellent transfer of vibration from your strings to the resonating solid Spruce top and ensuring perfect intonation.
