Fantastic Style and Performance
Made from alder, the Fender '72 Telecaster Custom has that distinctive single cutaway body.
Not only does it look great but this shape allows for easy reach of the upper frets which makes performing solos even easier.
Attached to the body is a maple neck with a matching fretboard offering smooth playability. Giving you that old school playing feel, this fretboard features a 7.25" radius.
In contrast to the usual pickguard found on Fender Telecasters, the Telecaster Custom's pickguard stretches from the controls at the bottom of the guitar all the way to the upper bout.
As a result, you get an instantly distinct look for unique style.
Highly Versatile Electronics
Expanding on your tonal potential and sonic variety, the Fender '72 Telecaster Custom features highly versatile electronics.
A "Wide Range" humbucker can be found in the neck position. Designed by Seth Lover back in the early '70s, this pickup marked a new path for Fender who were famous for sticking to single-coil pickups at that point.
This humbucking pickup gives you powerful, fat sounding tones but with fantastic clarity.
Complementing this humbucker is a Fender Standard single-coil Tele pickup in the bridge position giving you more traditional Telecaser tones.
A 3-way switch can be found on the guitar's upper bout allowing you to use either pickup individually or both at once.
You will also find a 2 x volume, 2 x tone set up (one of each for each of the pickups) on board allowing you to dial in the perfect sound and get just the right balance.
High Quality Hardware
Up on the headstock of the Fender limited edition '72 Telecaster Custom are Fender Vintage "F" stamped tuning machines.
These tuners provide precise and secure tuning of your strings along with a healthy dose of old school aesthetics.
Down on the body is a 6-saddle adjustable bridge providing great tuning stability with precise intonation.
What really sets the hardware on this Telecaster Custom apart is the addition of a Bigsby vibrato tailpiece.
With this handy bit of hardware, you get that classic tremolo sound that only a Bigsby can provide.
