Based upon the classic 'Kanuga' model acoustic from Patrick Eggle, the Mars is of a familiar-looking Drop-Shoulder Dreadnought design, and is a tonally great all-rounder.
Big Sound, Vintage Look
Combining a 100% solid tonewood construction, classic three-tone Sunburst finish, and high-grade Fishman electronics, the Faith Classic Burst Mars provides you with bags of style and a big, powerful sound with which to play, and the 45mm nut width makes it the ideal fingerpicking instrument.
Inspired Tonewood Combination
The unusual pairing of Red Cedar and Mahogany is perfect for this size of guitar. With the Cedar your guitar will be characteristically lush, dark-toned, and bursting with flavour, and although less powerful in projection than a spruce top, Cedar provides you with plenty of bottom end to make up for it.
Mahogany adds in plenty of woody overtones, giving your guitar a much more traditional, folksy feel, and when combined with the Cedar top you get an overall sound which is rich and warm, perfectly complimenting the Classic Burst finish.
12th Fret Construction
Whilst most acoustic guitars see the neck attached to the body at the 14th fret, this Faith Mars attaches at the 12th fret instead. This ensures that the strings are held at a slightly lower tension than on the more traditional models, making them much more comfortable to play. In addition to this, the bridge is shifted further from the sound hole, giving the guitar a much bigger voice than you'd get with a traditional 14th fret join.
High Grade Electronics
The Faith Classic Burst Mars Electro Acoustic combines a Fishman Sonicore under-saddle pickup with an easy-to-use Fishman Sonitone Preamp (controls conveniently placed just inside the guitar's sound hole), allowing you to to accurately amplify your playing with ease, without having to mic-up the guitar.
