Featuring a 22” EMAD Heavyweight bass drum head and a 14” Heavyweight Snare head in one package, this Knockout pack offers superb value. Priced at less than what you would typically pay for the bass drumhead alone, you’re basically getting the snare head for free.
22” EMAD Heavyweight
The popular EMAD Heavyweight head consists of 2 plies of 10 mil film for maximum durability. It features two interchangeable damping rings for adjusting the sound for maximum attack and accentuated low-end without needing to remove or retune the head. This head offers a big attack, controlled sustain and tone and lots of durability.
14” Heavyweight Snare
This head is constructed using 2 plies of 10 mil film, just like the bass drumhead. It also features a 3mil reverse dot, attached to the underside of the head, for extra durability, focus and attack. This snare head offers a good attack, with reduced sustain while still maintaining a great deal of tone. The twin ply and reverse dot make this a very durable drumhead.
The bass drum and the snare are the two integral parts of any drum kit, it’s therefore important that these two drums feature the best heads to achieve the sound you want. The Evans Knockout Pack offers drummers the opportunity to upgrade or maintain their kit sound easily and in a super affordable way.
If you want a kick and snare sound that offers robust attack, controlled sustain and well-rounded tone the Heavyweight heads are a great option.
Level 360 Technology
As with all Evans drum heads, the Heavyweight drumheads feature unique Level 360 Technology.
This technology consists of a steeper collar to the rim of the drum head which ensures balanced contact with the shell bearing edge. This means the head makes proper contact with the shell ensuring a consistent fit so that the head won't damage easily or lose tension. The rim of the head also features a roll-over hoop designed to improve the strength and stability of the head without diminishing performance.
This technology ensures a more consistent head to shell contact that provides a wider range of tuning, better responsiveness and resonance, and a stronger, longer lasting head. What’s not to like?
