For this particular AJ-220SCE, you get a guitar crafted from Select Mahogany, with a Solid Mahogany top, and sounds fantastic right out of the box.
This combination was favoured by "rootsy" blues and folk players during the mid-20th century, and remains a favourite of many players the world over to this day for it's warm, "earthy" sound.
In addition to this, there's a smooth Mahogany neck with a traditional dovetail neck joint and a SlimTaper D-profile shape. This construction not only offers a comfortable playing experience, but also results in superior levels of stability.
