At the lead of the Smashing Pumpkin's sound is frontman and guitar virtuoso Billy Corgan. His distinctive sound is easily recognisable across all of the Pumpkins albums. To obtain a true representation of Billy's sound, Dimarzio has created a loaded 11-hole Strat pickguard with his three individual pickups, volume and tone knobs, and 5-way switch.
Smashing Pickups
The DiMarzio Billy Corgan Strat Preloaded Pickguard White features three pickups. The BC-1 in the neck, the BC-2 in the bridge and The Chopper in the middle. A raucous combination delivering Mr Corgan's guitar tone. Humbucker-style tones in a single-coil setting using Billy's original wiring specification.

BC-1 Neck Pickup
With a deeper sound needed in the neck from the Pumpkins frontman. This pickup has the frequency response of one of the coils, increasing the bass and mids without muddying the sound. A
BC-2 Bridge Pickup
Like the BC-1, the BC-2 bridge pickup has the frequency response of one of the coils lowered which means it roars with power when distorted without the frequencies falling into each other.
The Chopper Middle Pickup
Perfect for mids and low end, The Chopper equals a bigger crunch and works perfectly in between the BC-1 and BC-2.
