The Darkglass Microtubes B7K Ultra V2 AUX-The Squid takes the industry-standard bass preamp pedal one step further, with some gorgeous limited edition arthwork laser-etched onto the chassis.
This artwork has been designed by world-renowned concept artist Ignacio Bazan-Lazcano - who has provided concept art for best-selling video games, movies, and novels - and adds a super-stylish touch to this already incredible pedal.

Modern Tone, Absolute Control
Widely regarded as one of the best bass overrive/distortion circuits available, the Darkglass Microtubes circuit offers an array of powerful and dynamic saturation, with the Ultra unit adding in a four-band EQ and dedicated footswitch to independently activate the overdrive section.
With controls for Master Volume, and a 3-way toggle to control your mid-frequencies, not to mention a switchable digital impulse-response cabinet emulation, dialing in your ideal bass tones couldn't be easier.
Impulse Response Cabinet Simulator
Whether you're in a prestigious recording studio, or plugged into your own home setup, the Virtual Cabinet function will ensure you get a studio-grade sound every time.
This function will allow you to add an incredibly accurate representation of your favourite cab's character, and this setting can be changed easily via the Darkglass Suite.
User-Friendly Editing Software
Darkglass Suite is a software package that's been developed for both Mac and PC users, offering a free, easy to use platform for experimenting with your favourite cab configurations.
Simply connect your pedal to your computer via USB cable, open up Darkglass Suite and experiment with the settings til you have your perfect output.
Just remember: the Cabinet Simulation feature is fully switchable on the Direct Output socket, but is always-on for the Headphone socket.
One Step Beyond
In taking the ultra-versatile Microtubes B7K Ultra a step further, Darkglass electronics are quite clearly beginning a brand new era in bass preamps.
This addition - a brand new AUX input - makes the pedal perfect for for practicing along to backing tracks, especially when used with a set of headphones.
