Darkglass Duality Fuzz Dual Engine Fuzz Pedal

New to PMT, and brought to you exlusively from Darkglass Electronics, I give you the "it's-so-good-I-wish-payday-wasn't-so-far-away" Duality Fuzz Pedal, a fuzz pedal so good that you won't realise just how much you need it in your life until you've heard it in action.

Used and endorsed by artists such as Paul Turner (of Jamiroquai) and Casper The Funky Ghost himself, Mr Bootsy Collins, the Duality Fuzz contains two discrete fuzz circuits - a gated saw-tooth wave and a raucous high-gain sound - which can be mixed together, granting you the ability to yield an array of unique textures and voices in your performance.

How it Works

The controls of the Darkglass Duality Fuzz pedal are fairly straightforward to follow, making it very user friendly. First there's the Level control knob, which allows you to set the volume of the overdriven signal. Next there's the Filter knob, which controls the amount of high-frequency content contained within the fuzz signal. The Blend knob allows you to choose the just how much of a mix there is between the clean and overdriven signals - the clean signal remains at unity gain, while the volume of the overdriven signal is set by the Level knob, giving you a vast amount of control over the blend ratio. Finally, there's the Duality knob, which mixes the two fuzz circuits - set it at minimum for a pure gated saw-tooth wave, or crank it up for a tighter high gain fuzz!

As with all effects pedals, it's obviously best if you spend a while getting to know the Duality in the confines of your own rehearsal space, allowing you to pick out those perfect sounds/settings for your music in the way that you want. Once you're used to it though, you'll be ready to go! In the words of Bootsy Collins himself you'll be able to produce "...the sound of fresh hard Funk squirting out like a smooth operator!". What that actually means, I'm not entirely sure, but it can only be good. As a bassplayer myself, all I can say is: bring on pay day! (just don't tell my girlfriend...)
