The Akai LPD8 is the ultimate portable MIDI Controller, perfectly suited for tapping out beats or making last-minute edits to a mix whilst on the move.

Measuring in at only 13 inches across, this compact and lightweight controller gives you access to 8 MPC-style drum pads for velocity-sensitive drum programming or sample triggering. 8 rotary encoder knobs are assignable within almost any feature of your software, for hands-on control over effects, virtual synth parameters or your mixer.
The Akai LPD 8 features plug and play technology for Mac and PC systems. No software driver installation or wall power is needed. The Akai LPD8 has four memory banks for programming and recalling settings appropriate to different software programs they use.
