Get the lowdown on Taylor Guitars all-new 2022 models, the AD27e Flametop and GTe Mahogany
Taylor has continuously blessed the world with some of the finest acoustic guitars ever built, and there’s no slowing down on that front in 2022.
With these new models they’ve granted players a host of new voices - with some exciting design elements that prove just how dedicated the brand is to their endless pursuit of acoustic excellence.
Taylor AD27e Flametop
The latest addition to the Taylor American Dream Series boasts an innovative sound that you won't be able to find anywhere else. Boasting an all-maple construction and rootsy aesthetic, this mouthwatering acoustic is a superb newcomer to the Taylor line-up.
Designed by Master Builder Andy Powers, the voice of the AD27e has been shaped into a dry, earthy texture that feels right at home in Roots, Country, Blues, and Americana music - even despite the bright sound usually associated with maple guitars.
Featuring a Grand Pacific body, V-Class bracing, and the choice of uncoated D’Addario Nickel Bronze strings (.012-.053), the guitar is designed to produce fewer overtones - lending a muted, mellow tone that is suited to rhythm playing and recording textures.
The dusky Woodsmoke finish is teamed up with a shaded edgeburst and satin sheen, and like other American Dream models it comes complete with chamfered body edges, 4mm dot inlays in Italian acrylic, and onboard ES2 electronics.
Why buy a Taylor AD27e Flametop?
Sophisticated in both its styling and its unique voice, this guitar introduces a wholly new flavour to the Taylor range that channels an era drenched in nostalgia.
Despite a clear dedication to innovation in tone, this guitar still manages to capture the magic of a bygone time - channeling the comfortable and reliable vibe of your most worn-in jeans.

Taylor GTe Mahogany
With its rough and ready appearance, the new Taylor GTe Mahogany is sure to turn heads. The classic design features an enticing flavour with a hint of the blues present in every fibre of its creation.
The unique, woody midrange on this guitar is combined with a balanced attack and natural compression thanks to its all-mahogany construction, serving up a musical character that is best described as ‘rootsy’.
The extra power in the bass range of the GTe is surprising given its size, coming courtesy of C-Class bracing inside the body. The extra-comfy 24-⅛” scale length means that fretting chords and bending strings feels natural, whilst the chamfered body edge is a premium touch that doesn’t go unnoticed.
Featuring a thin matte finish and Urban Sienna stain, the body of the guitar is offset with a eucalyptus fretboard, bridge, and peghead overlay. This is accented by a maple/black rosette that reflects the rustic charm and personality of this gorgeous instrument.
Why buy a Taylor GTe Mahogany?
With a unique size that sits somewhere between a full-sized Grand Concert and a GS Mini, this guitar is fun and easy-to-play whilst offering a sonic personality that you’ll fall in love with.
Thanks to the C-Class bracing and expertly-designed body, you can expect increased stability and volume from the GTe, with impressive levels of sustain which you might expect to find on a guitar twice the price.
