The Artist Series from Blackstar have been firmly establishing themselves as offering boutique valve amp performance that's perfect for using pedals with. Their latest additions to the series add a little extra in the way of aesthetic appeal to an already awesome sound: introducing the all new Artist Series Blonde!
Compact, Powerful and Tonally Pristine
Still featuring all of the awesome functions of the original Artist Series, including 2 x 6L6 power amp valves and a 12" Celestion V-Type speaker, the Artist 15 Blonde Special Edition is also covered in blonde tolex, sports a brown basketweave fret and a brown leather handle, giving the boutique, vintage-sounding amp a bountique, vintage looking finish.
Unique Power Amp Design
They key to the Artist series' success is a unique power amp design, that utilises the sonic presence of the famous 6L6 valve. With outstanding dynamics reminiscent of a USA 6L6 amp design, Blackstar's engineers have gone one step further and added all of the chime and shimmer of a classic British Class A amp.
Two Unique Channels
The Blackstar Artist 15 comes complete with two channels and the widest possible tonal palette for you to play around with.
Channel 1 provides you with that classic, clean, tube amp sound, being completely clean at lower volume levels, but breaking up ever so slightly the louder you push it, right up to a mild overdrive response.
Channel 2, on the other hand, can be used as either fully clean, or (with appropriate Gain control adjustments) produce a medium overdrive response. With the gain at it's lowest you get the clean sound, but as you increase the level your sound is harmonically enriched until that classic overdrive response is achieved.
Patented ISF Control
Blackstar's famous patented ISF control function works alongside the Tone control. Whether you want your overall tone to be that of a traditional British tube amp, or a more American sound (with a tight bottom and aggressive mid-range), you can achieve either or a blend of both.
Speaker Emulation
Blackstar's very own emulated output design is now a benchmark for all pro direct recording. This incredible bit of technology makes it easy to produce the perfect tone in either a studio or live setting.
Other key features on the Artist 15 Blonde include an inbuilt digital reverb function (and associated control knob), and even an effects loop that allows you to connect external effects pedals or other professional equipment via the send and return sockets.
