The Yamaha SG1820A, seen here with a gorgeous Silver Burst finish, is a powerful guitar crafted in Japan with the use of decade's-worth of guitar making expertise behind it.

Roaring With Bite

Packed full of premium components, this excellent electric guitar is the ultimate combination of excellent levels of playability, sleek aesthetics, and unparalleled tone.

Yamaha SG1820A Electric Guitar, Silver Burst Highlights

  • Premium-quality guitar, inspired by a classic Yamaha design
  • Made in Japan
  • Solid Mahogany body with a bound Maple top
  • Sleek-playing Mahogany neck, capped with a bound Rosewood fingerboard
  • Powerfully-defined active tones from EMG humbucker pairing
  • Grover locking tuners offer ultra-tight tuning stability
  • Includes deluxe hardshell case for safe keeping when not in use

A World-Class Guitar

True to Yamaha's guitar-creating ethos, the SG1820A has been built to stand apart from the rest, with incredible attention to detail going into its design and construction - as is befitting of a guitar sitting at the very top of the company's range.

Featuring a super-slick Mahogany neck, set into the dual-cutaway Mahogany body, and capped with a bound Rosewood fingerboard, this guitar is designed to let your fingers glide across the notes with ease.

In addition to this, the bound Maple top piece - sitting atop the Mahogany back - is comfortably-arched and has been given a beautiful Silver Burst finish.

Unparalleled Stability

Bringing it all together you will find a high quality Tonepros AVRII bridge, and a set of Grover Locking tuners sitting on the headstock in a 3+3 configuration.

These two appointments combine perfectly to ensure that your strings are ultra-stable and less likely to go out of tune, and to deliver pin-point accurate intonation across the board.

Active Pickups

Finally, to deliver the kind of volcanic power you would expect from an SG1820A, Yamaha have equipped it with a pair of Active EMG humbucker pickups - an 81 at the bridge, and an 85 at the neck.

These pickups combine to deliver a huge sound, with tones ranging from incredibly crisp, active highs, to a wealth of rich, sustain-heavy options that are perfect for huge string bends and more.
