The Arturia PolyBrute is a 61-key, 6-voice polyphonic synthesizer with a stereo dual-filter architecture and a fantastic array of sound manipulating tools.
Analogue Polyphonic Synth
Building on award-winning technology and sound, the Arturia PolyBrute is an amazing, 6-voice polyphonic analogue synthesizer.
A Brutal Evolution
The popular and highly acclaimed Arturia Brute has evolved and returned as the PolyBrute.
With a range of knobs and switches, the Arturia PolyBrute gives you that satisfying feeling of real-time tactile control over your sound.
The Arturia PolyBrute boasts six pure voices which each feature two highly versatile Brute waveshaping VCOs, a full-spectrum noise generator, enhanced Steiner multimode filter, custom lowpass ladder filter, 3 LFOs, 3 Envelope Generators and more.
All of these come together in the Matrix which you can use for full patching flexibility, taking the sound the PolyBrute gives you and shaping it with a number of tools so you get sonic perfection.
You can use the six voices of the PolyBrute polyphonically or in splits and layers and stack them in Unison mode, hugely expanding your sonic palette.
Morph and Modulate Your Sound
With the Arturia PolyBrute, each preset exists in two different states at the same time. Using the dedicated Morph knob, you can seamlessly morph between the two and enjoy a fantastic breadth of sonic space between them.
Pitch and multi-function wheels are on hand to give you further hands-on expression along with fantastic flexibility when it comes to parameter assignment.
An assignable touch strip can be found above the keyboard so you can quickly and easily, tap and slide some more expression in.
One of the best features when it comes to performance ability and expression in the Arturia PolyBrute has to be the Morphée; a revolutionary, three-dimensional touchpad.
Using the Morphée, you get fantastic three-axis control over patch morphing, sequence and arpeggiator randomising or up to 32 assigned Matrix modulations per axis, all with that inimitable character of human performance.
Last but not least, the Arturia PolyBrute also features three LFOs and three Envelope Generators allowing you add even more organic movement and dynamics to your performance.
What Is The Matrix?
Thanks to the Arturia PolyBrute's Matrix (conveniently located above the keyboard), you have instant access to 768 presets.
Acting as the PolyBrute's brain, the Matrix gives you a fantastic hands-on interface which has all sorts of functions that cab be adjusted to match your needs whether you're composing, recording or performing.
In Mods mode, the PolyBrute Matrix acts as a digital patch bay allowing you to route your modulation sources and controllers however you want with 64 connections and 32 modulation destinations at your command.
When you set the PolyBrute to Sequencer mode, the Matrix acts as a visual interface that makes it easy for you to create everything from polyphonic sequences to arpeggios and hybrids.
Not only can you record notes but also capture and replay your synth parameter changes so the Sequencer becomes a whole new source of modulation.
Polyphonic Stereo Performance
As a polysynth, the Arturia PolyBrute is at its best when heard in stereo.
Featuring left and right unbalanced 1/4" jacks for master stereo audio output, along with functions designed specifically to get the most out of the stereo field, the Arturia PolyBrute adds incredible width to its impressive depth.
With stereo displacement of voices, which can be controlled in the output section, the PolyBrute discretely pans each of the six voices left and right to slightly varying degrees for incredibly immersive sound.
The dual filter design can also be routed in parallel for a fantastic yet subtle stereo sound. With the left and right channels featuring different evolving sounds which can be manipulated via the morphing features, it gives an incredible sense of dimension and organic character.
Furthermore, the PolyBrute comes equipped with a range of fantastic, high-quality digital effects for you to put those finishing touches on your patches with incredible stereo sound.
