Fender Duo Sonic

When it was introduced in 1956, the Duo-Sonic was originally referred to as a 3/4 size Fender guitar and aimed at students. However, the Fender Duo-Sonic series quickly became a favourite with surf players and those with a smaller frame. If you love the offset look and feel of a Jaguar, Mustang or Jazzmaster, but want an easier to play, smaller-scale guitar – this is for you!

THE UPDATED FENDER DUO-SONIC HAS ARRIVED

THE BEGINNINGS OF A LEGEND

The Fender Duo-Sonic gets its name as being the two-pickup version of the Fender Musicmaster. The Musicmaster was a student-focused Electric Guitar made between 1959 and 1982 with a smaller 3/4 scale length. The team at Fender produced the Duo-Sonic in different iterations between the years of 1956-1969 until the Fender Mustang, with its tremolo tailpiece, proved to be more popular. However, the players, both beginner and pro still sought out these iconic guitars!

THE RETURN OF A CLASSIC

2019 saw the introduction of the Fender Offset Duo-Sonic, and instantly made these iconic instruments re-available for the modern generation. Available in both SS and HS pickup configurations, there's something for beginners and for those that want that extra tonal horsepower offered by a humbucking pickup. The Fender Duo-Sonic has been recently championed by the likes of Shlomo, although notable rock legends like Jimi Hendrix, Joe Walsh and Walter Becker of Steely Dan have all picked one up at some point.

A GREAT BEGINNER GUITAR

The Duo-Sonic is a great choice for players just starting out, with all the hallmark traits of American-made Fender Guitars with a higher price tag. The smaller-scale design, hard-working hardware and beautiful sounding pickups bring out the best possible playing experience that players of all levels will appreciate!
