The Wharfedale Pro drum microphone kit gives you everything needed to mic up a drum kit both for live and studio applications. It's 7 piece setup combines individual microphones (i.e. for the toms and snare) and overhead mics to capture the cymbals and ambience.
Included in the package is 2 x KM3s, 1 x KM4 and 4 x KM5s:
- The Wharfedale KM3 is an overhead condenser pencil mic which is aimed at providing a detailed sound for overheads and particularly the ride and crash cymbals.
- The Wharfedale KM4 is a high SPL dynamic microphone ideal for kicks and low toms. Being very high spl it can also be used on brass instruments.
- The Wharfedale KM5 mics are ideal for toms and snares with spring loaded mounts. again these can take a very high spl.
All microphones are cast in a very durable zinc chassis. Gold plated XLR connections, unidirectional polar responses and dent resistant grilles offer unpresidented resistance and sound quality with a low spill over and high feedback rejection. The drum microphone package comes in a road ready foam lined case.
