Excellent Birmingham store service - Dave A****
I was greeted by a chap called Dave and i explained i was interested in buying another guitar, a Fender Stratocaster to be precise. I explained i wanted to try a few options and in particular i was attracted to flashy looking guitars. I selected several to play and Dave took me to a practice room where i spent a couple of hours playing different guitars. His knowledge was excellent and he was very patient. Dave listened to what i wanted as a musician and provided the right equipment when i needed it followed by advice on the differences between each one. I settled on a very good guitar and a couple of pedals. If you are going to buy from PMT, GO TO THE BIRMINGHAM STORE.

Overview

The Gretsch G5655T-CB Electromatic Center-Block in Red is a great double-cutaway electric guitar that totally rocks!

Simple, elegant design with Bigsby Tailpiece for authentic country 'twang

By stripping back the bells and whistles and focusing on great tone, the Gretsch G5655T-CB really does deliver a jaw-dropping sound that is typically 'Gretsch' in every way. Thanks to a pair of dynamic mini humbucker pickups, the G5655T-CB offers an amazing array of tones that covers everything from scorching rock gain to glistening jazzy sparkle. A potent, wide-ranging sound that never fails to impress.

The solid spruce Center-Block running through the body offers solid punch and twang that have made Electromatic models such a hit among rockabilly and Blues guitarists. As a result, feedback is easy to control with a lively "high gain-friendly" tone. Combine this with a Bigsby vibrato tailpiece for smooth and subtle bends and you've got a vintage workhorse guitar on your hands.

Other premium features include five-ply maple body construction with a bound arched top and back, a bound maple neck and a 12.5”-radius rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets and Neo-Classic "thumbnail" inlays. The G5655T-CB also has three-way pickup switching, single-ply black pickguard with Gretsch logo, four "G-Arrow" control knobs (volume for each pickup, bridge-pickup-only tone and master volume), anchored Adjusto-Matic bridge, Grover tuners and knurled strap retainer knobs.
