The Zoom Q4n Handy Video camera has 10 “Scene” presets built-in, each tailored to different environments.

Simply choose one of these 10 options and the Zoom Q4n will automatically adjust the settings to get great picture, even in low-light venues such as clubs.

For example; choose “Concert Lighting” for high quality video in a situation where lighting can drastically change or “Concert-Low Light” for a more consistently dark setting. Both of which are designed to work well with dimly lit locations.

There are more specific Scene settings too with parameters customised adjusting for filming in jazz clubs and outdoors.

You can also choose outdoor settings including presets for sunset and night time recording. 

The Q4n has a dramatically improved aperture (F2.0) which allows you to capture beautifully bright video with the 160-degree wide angle lens capturing all the action. You also have access to five steps of digital zoom for capturing video at different distances.

You can record in a variety of HD and WVGA formats using the Zoom Q4n. High-resolution 2.3k video (2304 x 1926 pixel, 30fps, 24Mbps 3M HD) is supported at the top end of the Q4n’s capabilities.

For capturing fast movement, you can capture 60fps at 720. Alternatively, if you’d like to be more economic with your card space, you can go down to 30fps/5Mbps WVGA files.
