Introduced at NAMM 2018, the Yamaha Tour Custom Snare series was built to meet the demands faced by modern, adaptable drummers.
Providing a versatile tone, the Yamaha Tour Custom Snare is able to slot neatly into any musical setting thanks to its clear, cutting projection and substantial dynamic range.

Available in two size options; 14” x 5.5” and 14” x 6.5”, the Yamaha Tour Custom is offered in 5 satin finishes - Butterscotch, Chocolate, Caramel, Candy Apple and Liquorice.

45 Degree Bearing Edge
The maple shell of the Yamaha Tour Custom snare is finished with 45 degree bearing edges to deliver a modern tone with lots of projection.

6.5” Depth
The Yamaha Tour Custom Snares are available in 5.5” and 6.5” depth options.
This 6.5” deep snare provides slightly more substance to its sound than the shallower option, for a deeper, more robust tone with lots of body.
In comparison, the 5.5” option delivers a slightly more focussed sound, offering a more immediate, responsive tone.

Inverse Dyna Hoops
All the snares in the Yamaha Tour Custom series are fitted with Yamaha’s proprietary 2.3mm Inverse Dyna Hoops and Remo US Ambassador drumheads.
These newly designed hoops feature an inverse lip that leans in towards the drumhead.
This design works to control the natural overtones that are typically heard in all maple snare drums.
In addition to controlling the overtones, the Yamaha Inverse Dyna Hoops also focus the fundamental tone of the shell to produce a truer representation of the shell’s direct sound.
Absolute Cast Lugs
This 10-lug snare drum is fitted with exclusive Yamaha Absolute Cast Lugs to deliver a touch of sophisticated design to the snare’s aesthetic.

The lever of the throw off also utilises a silicon rubber to provide secure locking and quiet operation.
This means that not only is the strainer super smooth to use, it also locks securely in place to make sure your setting remains solid while you play. Plus, the silicon rubber also makes sure the strainer operates quietly for discrete on and off movement.
The Yamaha P-Style butt end provides secure attachment of the 20-strand high carbon steel snare wires.
Featuring a height adjustment function, this butt plate makes snare setting quick and easy as it avoids the need to completely remove and reattach the snare wire to achieve your desired placement.
