Custom-built from the ground up, with style to burn and tone for days, Yamaha's new line of Revstar guitars offer a unique and bespoke experience.

Speed Is Of The Essence

Heavily inspired by the stripped-down and tuned up café racer bikes of 1960's London, the RS820 not only looks the part but maintains the 'no frills, no compromises' mentality of the purpose-built workhorses.

Toneful Elements

Equipped with a pair of Yamaha's own VH5+ humbucker style pickups, you can expect incredible clarity at loud volumes, with excellent hum elimination. Made using Alnico V magnets, these pickups deliver a brilliant, bright sounding vintage tone with all the benefits a powerful modern output.

This perfect balance between vintage tonality and modern playability means that these pickups shine, no matter what style of music you're playing. Soak them in clean reverb or dry them out with some thick fuzz, you won't be disappointed either way.

Coil Versatility

The engineers at Yamaha have developed a revolutionary tool that vastly improves the versatility of your twin coil guitar. Ordinarily, when splitting your twin-coil pickup to achieve a single coil sound, you would tend to lose clarity as well as a significant drop in volume - but not here!

Thanks to Yamaha's new technological advancements, designed specifically for their Revstar range of guitars, a Dry Switch has been added. Capable of filtering out low frequencies using painstakingly designed passive filter circuitry, high levels of volume can now be maintained when using single-coil, with full tone and voicing, regardless of your pickup choice.

Custom Design

Sticking to their café racer mentality, Yamaha have ensured each visual feature of the RS820 remains as interesting as the last. Custom-built from parts to paint, the RS820 is as unique as it is toneful.

Created with individuality as a top priority, Yamaha founded the Revstar range of guitars with the intention of making all parts unique - just like the motorcycles of 1960. Move your eyes to any part of this guitar and you'll see a curve, a contour or a cutaway that you've never seen on a guitar before. Finished with an immaculate Brushed Teal paint job, you have yourself a real head-turned that will perfectly exuberate style and sensibility throughout all your playing.
