A Custom-Built Workhorse
Uniquely inspired by the Café Racer motorbikes of 1960's London and Tokyo, Yamaha have delivered on their vision. Custom-Wound Pickups
Kitted out with a pair of Yamaha's own VP5 P-90 style pickups, the RS502TFM boasts incredible versatility. Famed for their best-of-both-worlds sound, this style of pickup combines the brightness and clarity of a single coil pickup with the warmth and body of a humbucker pickup.
The resulting sound is a rounded, vintage sounding tone with plenty of bite for when you really want to stir things up. This perfect blend of characters make these pickups incredibly versatile and adaptable to so many styles of playing.
Dry Switch
Designed especially for their Revstar range of guitars, the RS502TFM comes equipped with a revolutionary Dry Switch. With the option to split your double coil pickup into a single coil, often you'd expect to introduce some muddiness and loss of volume but the technicians at Yamaha have developed an inovative solution.
Filtering out the low frequencies using a passive filter circuit, the dry switch manages to vastly improve clarity and fills the tone back out to where it should be. This makes the RS502TFM such a versatile guitar, with the tonal possiblities seemingly endless thanks to the Dry Switches functionality.
Vintage Visions
As pure as Yamaha would want it, the RS502TFM is presented immaculately as a purpose-built, custom package. Immediately noticable, the custom floating aluminium tailpiece takes center stage - Expertly calibrated for both performance and style, it looks like something straight off the chassis of a motorcycle.
The flamed maple top, unique Ash Grey paint-job and hand brushed satin finish fireally compliment the industrial vibe that the RS502TFM aims to capture. Every detail on this beautiful guitar pays resepect to the immaculate Japanese craftsmanship on display.
