Yamaha Heritage
Meticulously crafted by Yamaha's experienced guitar builders, the LS16 ARE is designed using time-honoured techniques and construction. As part of Yamaha's L Series of acoustic guitars, the LS16 ARE is designed to meet and exceed the demands of modern guitarists.
The small-bodied LS shape has a long history with Yamaha, famed for its excellent tonal balance and big, confident sound for its smaller size. Highly recommended for fingerstyle guitarists, its delicate sound is perfect for projecting the nuance of every note.
Acoustic Resonance Enhancement
Featuring Yamaha's own developed A.R.E. technology, this original wood reforming process manipulates the molecular properties of the wood through precise control of temperature, humidity, and atmospheric pressure to artificially create a more acoustically ideal condition, similar to the molecular characteristics of woods in instruments that have been played for years.
The benefits of this process are immense. The solid rosewood body and Engelmann spruce top are artificially aged to their prime condition before you've even played it for the first time - a truly incredible process that would usually require 15 years minimum!
High Comfortable Traditional Neck
Constructed of rosewood and mahogany plies, the new 5-ply neck design integrates the neck, head, and body into a single unit to create a strong neck with superior resistance to twisting and warping.
Complete with a newly designed neck profile, this traditional re-evaluation of string spacing, string height, fingerboard binding, and neck taper allows for a more stable grip and smooth playability over the full length of the neck.
