The Wharfedale connect 802 USB is a portabe mixer built for smaller group performances and as an audio interface for either recording live music or in the studio. Being such a compact mixer yet with plenty of inputs, its made for the modern musician who needs something for gigs and home music production alike.
With the same high quality preamps as seen in the SL series mixers, the first 2 channels benefits from an XLR input and phantom power for connecting a condensor microphone. The other channels benefit from stereo 6.3mm jack inputs ideal for keyboards and line sources for backing tracks (as well as mono instruments such as guitars). There is also a 2 band EQ on the first channel which means you get an extra hands on control while you record that you don't always get with standard audio interfaces.
The built in 16 bit / 48 kHz audio interface enables you to record straight into your DAW of choice, while it also can feed music to the mixer again which is perfect for backing tracks where mobile musicians are concerned.
