As an Orchestra model guitar, the Washburn O11S strikes a nice balance between low and high end tone and is suitable for a wide range of styles.
For the top of the Woodline series O11S, Washburn have opted for solid Western Red Cedar.
Less dense than spruce, this beautiful looking tone wood adds warmth to your sound and is ideally suited for finger stylists and light strumming.
As a solid top guitar, the Washburn O11S will improve with age with the tone getting even richer.
For the back and sides, the O11S features Mahogany. This attractive wood beautifully complements the lighter coloured Western Red Cedar top while enhancing the midrange tones.
Extra Touches
Within the body of the Washburn Woodline O11S you will find cathedral peaked advanced scalloped-x bracing which enhancing resonance and tone while Walnut binding adds a beautiful touch of elegance.
The Mahogany neck has a beautifully smooth satin finish making it extremely comfortable and easy to play.
The nut and saddle are both made from NuBone. Derived from Graph Tech’s famous TUSQ material, NuBone enhances tone transfer and sustain without dampening your sound like other nuts do.
Great Hardware and Strings
Ovangkol is used for the fretboard, giving you a nice playing are for your fretting hand. It also be found in the bridge, facilitating great transfer of vibration from your strings to the resonating solid top of the Washburn O11S.
Finished in an eye-catching chrome, the die-cast tuners provide easy tuning of your strings with the Washburn Woodline coming to you strung with D’Addario EXP light gauge phosphor bronze strings.
