High Quality Build
As a Dreadnought guitar, the Washburn D10SCE has one of the most popular and traditional guitar shapes in history. It is able to produce a full-bodied and powerful tone, with great low end due to its extra width.
The top of the Washburn Woodline D10SCE is made from solid Sitka Spruce. This is the most popular tonewood used for guitar tops because of its strength and elasticity.
Able to generate a broad dynamic range, Sitka Spruce is ideal for virtually any style of playing.
Furthermore, as a solid top guitar, the Washburn D10SCE will improve with age with the tone getting even richer.
For the back and sides, the D10SCE features Mahogany. This attractive wood beautifully complements the lighter coloured Sitka Spruce top while enhancing the midrange tones.
Allowing for easy reach of the upper frets, the body of the D10SCE dreadnought has a cutaway; perfect for lead guitar licks and solos.
Extra Touches
Cathedral peaked advanced scalloped-x bracing is used on the Washburn D10SCE, improving resonance and tone while Walnut binding adds a beautiful touch of elegance.
The Mahogany neck has a beautifully smooth satin finish making it extremely comfortable and easy to play.
The nut and saddle are both made from NuBone. This material has been derived from TUSQ and is less dampening than other types of nut, giving you a more organic sound true to your guitar.
The bridge is made from Ovangkol, facilitating great transfer of vibration from your strings to the solid top of the Washburn D10SCE.
Up on the headstock, you’ll find die-cast tuners provide easy tuning of your strings with the Washburn Woodline coming to you strung with D’Addario EXP light gauge phosphor bronze strings.
Stage Ready Electronics
The Washburn D10SCE is more than ready for the stage because it comes equipped with Fishman Presys II 301T electronics.
Allowing you to get the most from your live sound, the Fishman 301T has volume, bass and treble controls. There’s also a phase switch so you can eliminate feedback when playing live.
What’s more, with a built-in tuner you don’t have to take a long a separate device. Extremely convenient, you can just activate the built-in tuner and follow the easy-to-ready display.
