An ideal combination of aesthetics and function, the unique design of this Starstream Active Bass results in a lightweight, perfectly balanced instrument.
Short-Scale Design
In addition to the unique body design, this bass features a shorter-scale neck construction - only 30", rather than the 34" most players will be used to.
As there is less string tension present in a short-scale bass, you can play it for much longer than usual with the minimal amount of hand fatigue. These long hours of playing are great for allowing you to develop your playing technique to where you want to take it.
High Quality Electronics
When it comes to pickups and preamps for bass guitars, Aguilar has few equals - and that's just what you get with this new Starstream Active Bass.
Sitting at the bridge position on this bass, you'll find a powerful AG-4M humbucker pickup. These pickups are renowned for offering superb string-to-string balance and clarity across the entire frequency spectrum.
Shaping the tone on this pickup is an Aguilar OBP-2 Preamp, offering up to 18 dB cut/boost at 40 Hz, and 16 dB cut/boost at the top end of the spectrum. These controls allow you to adjust and mix your tone accordingly.
Premium Hardware
As if all of that wasn't enough, this Starstream Bass comes equipped with Gotoh tuners and a Gotoh bridge. This combination results in incredible levels of tuning stability, with pin-point intonation accuracy, giving you the best possible playing experience.
