An evolution of the original Taylor T5, the Taylor T5z Classic features a more compact body.
With its single cutaway design, the Taylor T5z Sassafras provides easy reach of the upper frets which is great for guitar solos.
It also lends the T5Z a classic rock-influenced silhouette.
Furthermore, as the name suggests, the Taylor T5z Classic Sassafras is made using Sassafras wood.
This wood is extremely visually distinctive with a natural grain that is unlike any commonly used woods in guitar building.
When it comes to sound, sassafras gives a performance that is tantamount to a "best of" featuring characteristics from many popular yet distinct types of wood.
The rich top-end of rosewood, the warm midrange of mahogany and the clarity of maple all combine to give you beautifully varied tone.

Along with the Sassafras wood, a set of three different pickups provide the voice of the Taylor T5z Classic Sassafras.
First, there's the acoustic body sensor to really capture the richness of the T5z Classic Sassafras's body woods.
