Taylor's Custom Shop allows you to pick and choose each and every aspect of a guitar to make it truly unique to you.
In this case, as you'll notice from the above images, we've opted for a "familiar-yet-different" approach with this guitar, with a whole host of premium appointments, and even a gorgeous custom fretboard inlay.
Exquisite Tonewood Choices
As a top wood, Cedar (Red Western Cedar in this case) is highly valued by fingerstyle players, who prefer tonal character and quality over volume.
When compared to the more-popular Spruce, Cedar will produce an array of richer overtones, adding plenty character to your sound.
Complimenting the Cedar top you have a back and sides crafted from Pau Ferro, also known as Brazilian Ironwood.
Despite being similar in looks to Rosewood, Pau Ferro is less glassy-sounding, whilst still offering a flast, clean response with an overall balanced voice.
These woods are complimented by the Taylor Performance bracing system, whilst helps to maximise the guitar's clarity and projection.
Expression System 2
At the heart of this custom-built Taylor you'll find the innovative ES2 pickup and preamp.
This incredbile electronics system offers a more dynamic range of acoustic sound than ever before, and is widely regarding as one of the best acoustic preamp/pickup combinations available.
Simply plug your guitar into a front of house PA system, your favourite acoustic amp, or even directly into recording software, and you'll be guaranteed a faithful conveyance of your guitar's gorgeous tone.
Premium-Grade Appointments
In addition to the instantly-noticeable fretboard inlay - a gorgeous, flamed koa, paua and black oyster tree - this gorgeous guitar is packed full of high-end appointments, many of which you will only ever see on a Taylor Custom guitar.
Amongst these appointments you'll find a Mother of Pearl Taylor headstock logo, a single-ring Abalone bound soundhole rosette, figured Hawaiian Koa body binding, and even a set of Gotoh 510 tuners with a 1:18 ratio!
To cap it all off, the guitar comes complete with a hardshell case, ensuring it'll be kept safe from all but the most severe of knocks when not in use.
