What is A Grand Pacific Guitar?
Taylor’s new Grand Pacific guitar shape is an evolution of the traditional dreadnought. This new round-shouldered dreadnought delivers a more versatile performance than what you get from a standard dreadnought.
While your traditional dreadnought can produce big low-end, it’s often muddy and clouds up the individual notes.
With a Grand Pacific guitar such as the Taylor 717, you get that same great low-end but it’s tighter, boasting greater clarity.
You Get all the power you’d want from a bluegrass guitar but with the playing comfort and crisp clarity that singer-songwriters and fingerstyle players require.
Crafting the Taylor Builder’s Edition 717
The Taylor Builder’s Edition 717 acoustic guitar carries on the long tradition of Rosewood/Spruce dreadnought guitars.
Torrefied Sitka Spruce is used for the top of the Taylor 717, as it is strong and flexible, allowing it to produce loud, rich and resonant tone. Being torrefied, this top gives you the sound of a beautifully aged guitar, right from day one.
Indian Rosewood is used for the back and sides of the Taylor 717 acoustic guitar, complementing the rich tones of the Sitka Spruce top with added resonance along with deep and warm bass tones.
The Taylor Builder’s Edition 717 also benefits from V-Class bracing which drastically changes the way the top vibrates, resulting in more powerful projection and greater sustain.
Exclusive Builder’s Edition Features
Adding prestige and enhanced playability, Taylor Builder’s Edition guitars have a few fantastic exclusive features.
First, there’s the new compound-carve neck profile which has been designed to complement the way your fretting hand shifts position as you move up the neck.
It starts with a slight V shape at the nut end before gradually becoming a rounded C as you get closer to the rounded, ridgeless neck heel.
Further enhancing the comfort and playability of the neck, you’ll find the fretboard edges have been rolled too.
The Grand Pacific body features chamfered body edges, giving you enhanced playing comfort.
You’ll also find that the bridge features a new curve wing shape with rounder edges and refined contouring which gives your pick hand a more comfortable playing experience.
Includes New Deluxe Hardshell Case
This fantastic new guitar design is everything Taylor is about, giving you a fresh new take on a classic instrument while improving tone and playability.
What’s more; it comes with a new deluxe hardshell case with a luxurious interior that has a Western floral pattern resembling tooled leather – the perfect way to transport and store your new Taylor guitar.
Buy the Taylor Builder’s Edition 717 acoustic guitar from Professional Music Technology and enjoy this incredible twist on tradition.
