Taylor's limited edition 500 series guitar (the 514ce LTD) incorporates a rare tonewood combination of torrefied spruce and walnut, offering you a beautiful looking instrument that is incredibly responsive to your touch.
Looks Stunning, Incredibly Playable
With the Torrefaction process, Taylor roasts the spruce in a way that mimics the wood's natural aging process, altering its cell structure to produce a sweeter, more responsive sound. The addition of Walnut into the mix lends a unique tonal personality that combines some of maple's transparency with the dry properties of mahogany. Overall you can expect an exquisite playing experience that offers a touch-sensitive response reminiscent of a well-played walnut guitar.
