All-Solid Construction

For this guitar, Taylor have opted to use Sitka Spruce for the top piece, and Sapele for the back and sides, which combine a bright and articulate output, with a tonally balanced voice that's suited to a diverse range of playing styles and genres.
Combined with the comfortable Grand Auditorium body shape, you have a guitar that is perfect for professional players - whether that's on stage or in the studio.

Not only that, but the Venetian Cutaway on the body allows easy access to every note on the fingerboard.
Natural Sound Made Simple
For their Expression System (ES) electronics, Taylor spend a number of years developing a new pickup and preamp that would naturally amplify the warm acoustic sound of the guitar.
Designed to offer the kind of sound normally generated by a well-positioned mic (as opposed to a magnetic pickup sound), the ground-breaking ES delivers an unsurpassed clean, amplified voice that can be fine-tuned via the volume, bass, and treble controls.
