Cedar & Mahogany
Whilst Spruce is often cited as the most popular acoustic guitar top wood, Cedar is usually named in second place, not least because of its association with classical guitar designs.
As a top wood, Cedar produces a slightly darker tone than Spruce, but with richer overtones and more character.
These qualities - especially when combined with the warm-sound Mahogany body - make the TWR2 DCE perfect for fingerstyle players, who value quality and character of tone above volume.
TW-EX4 Electronics
If you're looking to perform live on stage, or record into a DAW without having to set up a microphone, the electronics on the TWR2 DCE can be a big help.
This TW-EX4 pickup and preamp system comes equipped with a 4-band EQ that allows you to fine tune your output accordingly. In addition to this, there's a separate Volume control knob, and even a built-in digital tuner.
Roadster II Series
Tanglewood's Roadster II lineup offers a range of guitars that offer a natural aesthetic appeal - evoking the kind of "close to nature" feel you'd get when driving a convertible with the top down.
In this case we have a finely-graded Canadian Red Cedar soundboard sitting atop an Indonesian Mahogany back and sides. Thanks to the natural satin finish the grain of each wood shines through beautifully, and offers a smooth, tactile playing experience.
