All Koa Construction
Made with a Solid Koa top, and featuring laminated Koa back and sides, the TW Mini Koa produces a naturally balanced tone that's ideal for fingerstyle playing.
Due to the nature of Koa as a tonewood, the more you play the guitar the more its sound will open up, resulting in a bright and responsive instrument over time.
Slim, Sleek Neck
Similar in size to what you'd expect on an electric guitar (just 43mm wide at the nut), the neck on the TW Mini Koa is perfect for guitarists looking to make the transition from Electric to Acoustic.
This also makes the guitar ideal for relative beginners and smaller players.
What is Techwood?
Due to the 2017 CITEs action against Rosewood trading, many guitar makers have turned to using alternative materials for their fretboards.
Tanglewood have opted, in this case, to use "Techwood", a highly sustainable and environmentally friendly option that's manufactured from poplar (or, in some cases, Obeche), and surprisingly enough, plays really well.
