Inputs and Outputs of The Steinberg UR824 Audio Interface
On the front panel of the Steinberg UR824, you'll find two Neutrik combo TRS/XLR connectors providing balanced microphone/line input with switchable 48-volt phantom power.
For improved convenience and control there's Hi-Z, pad push buttons for signal attenuation and gain controls with peak indicators.
A single output level rotary knob gives you quick and easy control of the eight line output signal levels.
You also have two headphone connectors which each have dedicated level controls.
On the rear panel of the UR824, you'll find eight analogue balanced TRS outputs along with two pairs of optical ADAT inputs and outputs.
You'll also find two BNC connectors for switchable world clock input and output.
Seamlessly Expandable
Steinberg have designed the UR824 mixing and recording interface with advanced technology to ensure seamless scalability.
This means you can easily expand the number of analogue inputs and outputs across the system with ADAT allowing for up to 24 input and output channels.
Eight line outputs on the UR824 allow for full support of surround sound productions up to 7.1.
Great Sound, Streamlined Workflow
Whether you're an ambitious musician or a professional engineer, the UR824 interface is a fantastic recording and production solution.
Word Clock and ADAT connections, requirements in the studio, are all available along with industry standard Neutrik combo connectors.
Sweet Sport Morphing Channel Strips are available on each channel giving you powerful EQ and compression tools at your fingertips.
There's also a brilliant, built-in reverb provided by the REV-X plug-in so you can get the perfect sonic space in your projects.
iPad Connectivity and Free dspMixFx App
The U824 can also connect to your iPad and using the free dspMixFx app you can get some great work going.
The dspMixFx app provides latency-free monitoring while running other great features such as the acclaimed REV-X Reverb, Sweet Spot Morphing Channel trip and Guitar Amp Classic with other iOS audio apps.
Great for Recording Bands
The Steinberg UR824 is a great interface for recording bands.
Just mount the UR824 in our rack and using its range of channels and connectors, you'll be able to pick up the entire band's instruments and the vocals.
You can then mix them all with the included Cubase AI or your preferred DAW.
You'll also find the UR824 is great for live rigs thanks to its wide variety of input and output formats including two pairs of ADAT providing additional I/O expansion potential.
Connect via the two 8-channel mic preamps with ADAT outputs, or use two UR units in standalone mode to get 24 channels. allowing you to a number of options for recording an entire rock band set up.
