Squier Affinity Series Stratocaster by Fender, seen here in a classic 2-colour sunburst finish, a great quality instrument at a great value price.
Great Value Stratocaster
The Squier Affinity Series gives us some of the best value electric guitar options available on the market today.
Giving you the classic features and awesome style that has made the Strat such a legendary instrument in the world of rock and roll, the Squier Affinity Stratocaster is versatile, looks great, has authentic sound and comes at a great price – the perfect guitar for beginners.
Being of a traditional Stratocaster design, the Squier Affinity Strat comes equipped with three single-coil pickups.
A five-position blade allows you to choose which pickups you’d like to use to get your sound with the following options:
- Position 1. Bridge Pickup
- Position 2. Bridge and Middle Pickups Together
- Position 3. Middle Pickup
- Position 4. Middle and Neck Pickups Together
- Position 5. Neck Pickup
Two tone controls (one each for the neck and middle pickups) and a Master Volume allow you to adjust the overall sound of your guitar.
With so many tonal options and potential for versatility, it is no wonder the Stratocaster has been such a popular guitar across all styles of music since the introduction of the original Fender Stratocaster back in 1954.
Great First Guitar
Alder has been used to craft the signature Stratocaster style body which features a double cutaway design to allow for easy reach of the higher frets; a must for those face melting guitar solos!
Traditional 4-bolt construction sees a Maple neck join the body which holds a Maple fretboard featuring 22 frets.
The neck has a “C” shape profile so it is both easy and comfortable to play, making it a great guitar to learn on.
With its distinctive and familiar, elegant body shape and its eye-catching finish, it is a guitar that doesn’t just play and sound good; it looks good too!
At the headstock, along with the classy two-colour headstock logo, you’ll find six tuning machines that allow for quick and precise tuning of the strings, while at the top of the neck there is a synthetic bone nut, keeping your strings aligned while aiding sustain.
Down on the body is a 6-saddle vintage-style synchronised tremolo bridge, with each saddle being adjustable, making for easy adjustment to ensure perfect intonation.
You’ll also find a tremolo arm, a key feature for many styles of electric guitar music, allowing for great whammy bar action.
