The SRH1840 open back headphones feature an open back circumaural design for exceptionally natural sound. This open back design allows soundwaves and air to pass through giving the SRH1840 a wide stereo image and increased depth of field so you get a beautifully natural soundscape.

The SRH1840s also have a unique steel driver frame design with a vented centre pole which allows for improved linearity and eliminates internal resonance ensuring consistent performance at all volumes.

The replaceable velour earpads have been produced with high-density, slow-recovery foam for exceptional comfort; even if the SRH140 headphone are to be worn for hours and an extra set is included in the package so you can easily replace them should you need to.
Furthermore; the SRH1840 cable is made of oxygen-free copper and is housed in a Kevlar reinforced jacket for superior durability. This too is detachable and replaceable with a replacement cable coming packaged in the box with your new SRH1840 headphones.
