Banshee Extreme, New for 2017
The Banshee Extreme series from Schecter has been designed to be both incredibly versatile but also very affordable.
Great Construction, Beautiful Looks
Mahogany has been used to construct the body of Banshee-6 Extreme and it features a beautiful flat Quilted Maple top which looks great under the Vintage Sunburst finish.
The neck is securely bolted on and made of Maple. Mounted on this Maple neck is a classic Rosewood fretboard which features awesome pearloid and abalone vector shape inlays.
The ultra-thin ‘C’ shape of the neck makes it extremely comfortable and easy to play. Combined with its 24 X-Jumbo frets, this neck makes the Banshee-6 FR Extreme fun and easy to play whether you’re learning or at an intermediate or higher level.
The deep cutaway, dual horn design of the body makes it easy to reach the higher frets; perfect for major solos and adventurous lead guitar.
Great Hardware
The FR edition of the Banshee-6 FR Extreme comes fully equipped with a Floyd Rose Special ‘Hot Rod’ locking tremolo which is exclusive to Schecter guitars – perfect for those Steve Vai and Eddie Van Halen deep and frantic whammy par actions while keeping your strings in tune.
To go with the locking tremolo is a Floyd Rose locking nut which keeps your strings locked in tune, even if you play with a lot of bends and tremolo action.
Schecter’s own tuners have been used, featuring quick, easy, precise and stable tuning while a Schecter Custom Hardtail bridge is fitted to the body to keep your strings securely in place, offering a string-through-body design.
Schecter Pickups - SSH Configuration
To achieve an extremely versatile sound allow you to play a wide range of styles and offer a large selection of tones to play with, Schecter have installed a combination of two single coil pickups and a humbucker pickup.
The two single coil pickups are Schecter Diamond single coils and can be found in the neck and middle pickup positions.
Offering a beefier, more full-bodied option is the Schecter Diamond Plus humbucker pickup found at the bridge pickup position.
A volume control and Push-Pull Tone control allow you to adjust your sound settings while a 4-way pickup selector switch allows you to flick between which pickups you want activated for full control over your sound. Take the Banshee-6 from clean tones to something with a lot more bite.
