Custom-Specced, Hand-Crafted 5-String
Sandberg's "Custom" range delivers the very pinnacle of bass guitar luthierie - bringing together exotic woods, premium-grade hardware, and some of the finest electronics available on todays market in the construction of high-level instruments for serious players.
Premium-Grade Construction
As with all of Sandberg's Custom bass lineup, this gorgeous speciment comes complete with an ergonomic and solidly constructed Mahogany body. Sitting atop the Mahogany is a piece of exotic Macassar Ebony - a rare tonewood that's prized for its uniquely striped natural wood grain.
In addition to the body there's a canadian hardrock maple neck, with a 5-bolt attachment, and a sleek "C"-shaped profile. Due to the shape of the body, each and every corner of this neck's fretboard is easily accessible.
Delano XTenders
Delano's specially designed, Oval-Shaped XTender pickups offer you an even wider range of crystal-clear tones than you've experienced before.
Their unique shape results in a radically different magnet array than usual, granting you a tone with a huge amount of bottom-end, crystal-clear definition, a gutsy midrange growl, and a wide open top-end that's second to none.
The overall result is a previously unmatched sound character in the bass playing world, and it has to be experienced to be believed!
Top-Notch Electronics
Working in perfect harmony with those fantastic pickups you'll find a Sandberg 3-band Active/Passive preamp. The controls on this preamp allow you to dial in the perfect tonal mix, with pots for Bass, Middle, and Treble, alongside a Volume and Balance control.
If you'd like to switch to a more vintage sound whilst you play though, there's no need to worry: simply lift the Volume control pot into the Up position and the preamp switches to Passive mode.
