The Sabian Vault 22" Liquid Ride was designed for Chester Thompson a well-respected drummer who has performed with Frank Zappa and Genesis. The ride features a flanged edge for added control.

Signature Chester Thompson Ride

The Sabian Liquid Ride offers a mixture of a clear "ping" stick response with a washy, midrange spread. The flanged edge of the ride serves to control that loose, washy tone for a ride that opens up well but doesn't become uncontrollably messy. This Chester Thompson ride was designed to  the needs of this internationally gigging drummer. He's played with the likes of Frank Zappa and Genesis to name a few so needs a reliable ride sound that cuts through live performances with its articulate stick response but builds beautifully with its substantial full, yet controlled, midrange tone.
