Versatile Medium Ride
NAMM 2019 saw the introduction of a brand new Sabian logo as well as the revamp of the much loved Sabian AAX series.
The transformed AAX range involves the delisting of less popular models, the introduction of new cymbal options and the persistence of the popular X-Plosion, Omni, Freq and Aero ranges.
Each of the new cymbals have been produced using a completely new hammering process which works to deliver a wider frequency response for improved versatility of tone.

The 21 inch Medium Brilliant Finish Ride combines clear cutting bell tone, with superb spreading crash response and bright stick ping to deliver a well-rounded range of sound.
The use of a brand-new hammering process works to create a medium ride cymbal that reacts more like a thin ride to provide improved crash ability.
The incorporation of a smaller raw bell also works to keep the weight of the ride to a minimum which allows it to open up quickly to produce bright bursts of swelling crash tone.
The result is a ride cymbal that offers a great crash response allowing you to achieve multiple playing sounds from one cymbal.
More Highs, Darker Lows
The transformation of the AAX series has brought with it the introduction of a completely new hammering style.
Providing a new aesthetic and new sound to the AAX line, this new hammering process utilises a larger, rounder peen which produces a much more visibly hammered cymbal surface.
In addition to the aesthetic changes, this process also works to expand the frequency range of the ride to deliver increased highs as well as injecting a hint of darkness into the lows.
