Building Upon A Legacy
In 1987, thanks to the popularity of the Custom 22, PRS announced the introduction of the the stripped-back Standard series.
With their all-Mahogany construction, and no-nonsense approach to aesthetics, guitars like the Standard 22 were born, and are now available in the gig-ready S2 lineup.
Professional-Grade Construction
With its solid Mahogany body, and set-in Mahogany neck, this guitar offers an incredible natural tone, which is further complimented by the thin, all-over Nitro Satin finish.
The end-result is a guitar with a wonderful resonance and open clarity, combined with the rich, round, warm tones of Mahogany, that works perfectly with the vintage-inspired 58/15 "S" pickups.
Warm, Sweet, And Toneful
As mentioned above, the PRS S2 Satin Standard 22 comes equipped with a set of 58/15 "S" humbuckers, seated in the neck and bridge positions.
These pickups offer plenty of clear highs and strong mids, with the Push/Pull Coil-Tap function on the Tone pot adding extra versatility into the mix, and making the guitar suitable for most styles of music.
