A Bare-Bones Classic In The Making
With its all-Mahogany construction, pickguard-mounted electronics, and no-nonsense approach to aesthetics, the S2 Satin Standard 22 is the perfect choice for players who want to cover a lot of ground with their music.
All in all, this guitar offers a wonderful resonant voice with open clarity, combined with the rich, warm tones of Mahogany, all of which comes together perfectly with the versatile electronics on display.
Versatile Electronics
In place of the traditional S2 Studio pickup setup, PRS have opted for a more versatile configuration of two Type-D Single Coils with a Starla Tremble humbucker at the bridge.
If it's a punchy single coil sound, vintage scooped tone, or the kind of chunky kick that only a humbucker can provide which you're after, this guitar will deliver it in style.
Not only that, but there's also a Coil Splitting option by way of a Push/Pull tone control, which will activate the Bridge pickup as a Single Coil rather than humbucker, for even more tonal options.
