The Promark Shira Kashi Oak 727 Nylon Tip Drum Sticks fit into the Promark range as a good compromise between the 7a and 5a with a slightly longer length. The nylon tip offers a brighter, more articulate sound option.
Nylon Tipped Stick Between the 7a and 5a
If you're not quite comfortable with the 7a or the 5a stick, the 727 is the perfect option for you. With a diameter of .531" that places it between both the 7a and 5a sticks, this stick features a slightly longer 16 1/4" for added reach.
It has a medium taper which make it a great all-round stick for multiple situations. The oval shaped nylon tip provides a bright articulate cymbal tone.
Manufactured in Texas, USA, these sticks are made from Shira Kashi Oak which is a dense and heavy wood that provides a sturdy feeling stick that offers excellent ride articulation.
Typically, sticks made from oak are extremely durable and tend to last longer than sticks made from other types of wood.
