The Promark Shira Kashi Oak 5AST "Stinger" Wood Tip Drum Sticks are similar in diameter to a 5a stick but are slightly longer and have a thinner taper for a quicker more responsive rebound. The arrow head tip provides increased articulation.
Arrow Tipped 5a Like Drum Sticks
The Promark Stingers have a .551" diameter similar to a 5a stick, but are slightly longer at 16 1/8" for added reach.
The sticks feature a thin taper that helps to create a fast rebound and more responsive feel.
The arrow shaped wood tip provides a larger contact surface area that helps to provide increased cymbal articulation.
Manufactured in Texas, USA, these sticks are made from Shira Kashi Oak which is a dense and heavy wood that provides a sturdy feeling stick that offers excellent ride articulation.
Typically, sticks made from oak are extremely durable and tend to last longer than sticks made from other types of wood.
