Maple + Gum
The shells of the Pearl Masters Maple Gum kit are constructed using the Pearl EvenPly-6 process.
Each drum consists of 4 outer plies of maple with a 2-ply gumwood inner to deliver a rich, well rounded tone that combines the best of both woods.
Much loved and performance proven, the maple/gum shells deliver explosive midrange warmth and extended low end power for a sound that is perfect for studio performance, but just as at home on the stage.
Maple drums are characterised by their even highs and mids combined with a warm low-end response.
The addition of the gum wood interior plies works to further enhance the natural resonant warmth of the thin maple shells by injecting some increased volume and control.
The result is a Pearl drum kit that offers powerful resonant warmth with increased volume and pristine, articulate tone.

Outer 60
Each of the shells in this Pearl 3-piece drum kit feature outer 60 degree bearing edges.
Featuring a shallow back cut to increase punch, the outer 60 bearing edge transfers natural control from the head to the shell with ease.
The use of these rounded bearing edges results in a drum kit sound that allows the rich tone of the premium North American maple and gumwood to shine.
Projecting the resonant warmth of the shells with precision and control, the 60 degree bearing edges showcase the natural characteristics of the shells brilliantly.
Gold Finish, Chrome Lugs
One of only 4 finish options available, this Pearl Masters drum kit features a stunning Platinum Gold Oyster wrap.
Offering a caramel like, creamy aesthetic to the shells, the Platinum Gold Oyster finish provides a classy look that’s filled with old school sophistication.
The milky colour of the shells is perfectly complemented by the all chrome hardware to add a shimmering, light overall appearance to the kit.

OptiMount Suspension System
Fitted to the 12” rack tom, the Pearl Aluminium OptiMount is designed to provide reliable support for your rack tom whilst helping to promote natural shell resonance.
The OptiMount secures to the tom tension rods at 4 contact points to deliver optimum stability without making direct contact with the drum shell.
Avoiding contact between the mount and shell ensures the drum is allowed to vibrate naturally in order to achieve its ultimate sustain.
The result is a tom mount you can trust to hold your rack tom firmly in place while you play without jeopardising or restricting the shell resonance.
MasterCast Hoops
Both the 12” and 16” toms of this Pearl Masters drum kit are fitted with MasterCast Hoops as standard to provide increased volume and attack.
Pearl specifically selected the chunky die-cast style hoops for the Pearl Masters Maple Gum shell pack in order to add some tonal weight to the thin shell sound.
The combination of thin maple gum shells and MasterCast Hoops creates a drum sound filled with upfront attack and robust volume to ensure your kit has impact.
