Introducing the Orange Bass Butler: a Bi-Amp Preamplifier unit that could very well be the only bass pedal you'll ever need!

Bi-Amp Touring Rig, In A Stompbox-Style Format

This awesome pedal was designed in collaboration with Morgan Nichols (of Muse fame), with the end goal of developing his own bi-amp touring rig in a small, portable, preamplifier effects pedal.

Orange Bass Butler Bi-amp Bass Preamp Pedal Key Features

  • Premium-grade preamp pedal for Bass Guitar
  • Rugged, pedalboard-friendly enclosure
  • Bass Guitar (clean) XLR Balanced Output With Bass Guitar Cabinet Simulator
  • Guitar (dirty) XLR Balanced Output With Lead Guitar Cabinet Simulator
  • Blended 1/4" Jack Socket Output With No Cabinet Simulator
  • Expression 1/4" Jack Socket
  • Input 1/4" Jack Socket
  • Ground Lift Switch
  • Powered by 18v DC Adapter (not supplied)

Bass Channel

As you'll notice from the above images, the Orange Bass Butler features a balanced XLR D.I. output for Bass.

This always-on channel offers a simply Compression, Bass, Treble, and Volume control layout, along with an optical compressor circuit, cut/boost tone controls, and dedicated bass-cab simulation.

This output can take you from the depths to Dub, to the heights of hi-fi with that instantly-familiar Orange sound clean.

Guitar Channel

In addition to the clean Bass output, there's a high-gain guitar channel, for when you want to add some grit into your sound.

Featuring five instantly-familiar controls, and four gain stages that can take you from clean to all-out filth at the kick of a footswitch, this guitar cab-simulated D.I. is set up to please even the pickiest of players.

In addition to this, you can use an external expression pedal to give you even more control over the input gain.

Direct And To-The-Point

Each of these XLR outputs can be sent to independent channels on your mixing desk, allowing you to blend your overall sound as you see fit.

However, if using a mixing desk isn't an option, or if you want to add even more stage-present oompf to your sound, there's also a standard 1/4" socket which can send your signal directly to a bass amp of your choice!

If using an amplifier, you can set the channel blend via the individual volume controls, allowing you to control your on-stage sound independently of what the audience hear through your front of house system.

Premium-Quality Construction

As if all of that wasn't enough, the Bass Butler is house within a sturdy steel enclosure, making it the perfect tool for life on the road.

In addition to this, the pedal is powered by an 18v DC adapter, giving you plenty of headroom to play around in.
