Professional-Quality 7 String Guitar
Featuring the kind of playability and tone you'd expect from a guitar bearing John Petrucci's name, the Music Man JP7 combines this with an encapsulating Mystic Dream finish, that's reminiscent of the Aurora Borealis.
In other words: it shimmers between Purple and Green, depending on what angle you look at it - just like the Northern Lights.
DiMarzio Humbuckers
With it's combination of a Liquidfire in the neck position and Crunch Lab at the bridge, this JP7 is capable of the kind of tones Petrucci recorded on Dream Theater's 10th studio album, Black Clouds & Silver Linings.
When used with a heavily overdriven amp, the Liquidfire produces a flowing, singing solo tone, but cleans up like a dream. Whereas the Crunch Lab produces a big, tight sound that's never muddy or thin, even when you play the 7th string.
Taking things a step further, the JP7 also features a Piezo pickup, built into the floating tremolo bridge. When activated, this pickup adds an acoustic quality to your sound, giving you even more tonal variations to play with.
