The Music Man StingRay Special, seen here with an incredible Smoked Chrome finish, is a modern take on one of the most popular bass guitars ever created.
First introduced in 1976, the Music Man StingRay was the world's first production line 4-string bass to feature on-board active EQ, and is today regarded as one of the most iconic bass guitars ever created.
Now redefined to meet the needs of the modern player as the StingRay Special, this bass offers the same kind of tone and aesthetics as its forebear but with even more playability and power.

- Powerful Electronics - In place of the more traditional Alnico magnet humbucker, Music Man have opted for Neodymium magnets in their StingRay Special lineup, which has a much stronger magnetic pull than Alnico for a much more articulate sound. Not only that, but the pickup is complimented by an 18v active preamp, to deliver the most powerful StingRay sounds ever
- Reliable Hardware - delivering an ultra-secure playing experience, whilst at the same time being designed to compliment the StingRay Special's lightweight design, you'll find an all-new set of tuning machines with tapered posts. At the other end of the bass there is a vintage Music Man top-loaded streel bridge plate, which works to maximise string vibrational transference and natural sustain
- Hardshell Case Included - to keep the bass safe when not in use, or when you're travelling to and from performances, Music Man have included a fitted hardshell case.
