Heavy Multi-Rods
Meinl has a long history of producing quality multi-rods for percussionists. They’ve now expanded their lineup to include multiple models and sizes in a wide range of materials.
The Meinl Heavy Multi-Rods are constructed using thick hardwood dowels that have been tightly bundled together to provide a robust sound response.
Using thicker dowels and selecting a hardwood, as opposed to the lighter bamboo used in Meinl’s other multi-rods, serves to offer lots of attack and a full volume response. If you want rods that provide a substantial backbeat thud, the Meinl Heavy Multi-Rods are an ideal choice.
The Heavy Multi-Rods feature thick adjustable rings allowing drummers to achieve the desired amount of dowel spread. Simply push the adjustment ring to the tip of the sticks to create a more compact bundle with a robust sound, or push the rings towards the handle to create a wider spread of dowels for a more open response.
Finished with stylish easy-to-grip white handles adorned with the Meinl logo and Multi-Rod variety name.
These high-quality multi-rods are ideal for a variety of musical situations. The use of thicker hardwood dowels provides an extremely robust, durable multi-rod that offers great attack and optimum volume. Use them with Cajons for stripped back acoustic gigs or on your drum kit for a full volume rod sound.
