Grand Performance Body Construction
With over 100 years of guitar crafting expertise, the luthiers at Martin have honed their acoustic knowledge and developed a plethora of acoustic instruments, including the Martin GPC-16E Mahogany.
With a solid Grand Performance shaped body construction, consisting of a Solid Spruce Top matched with Solid Mahogany back and sides, this instrument projects a balanced response with exceptional volume, tight lows, solid mids and bright highs.
The cutaway allows the player to reach the higher points on the neck, ideal for those delicate high note plays.
Solid Comfortable Neck
The guitarist is instilled with confidence due to the select hardwood neck being solid and comfortable.
This is matched with a 20 fret ebony fingerboard, which makes playing and fretting this instrument easy, fast and comfortable, whether the player is throwing out big chords or playing intricate single note runs.
The neck has a bone nut, at 1.3/4" width, with Nickel open Gear tuners with classic butterbean hardware, great for quick tuning and string sustainability.
The bridge has matching ebony producing string vibration and sustain right through the grand performance body.
Exceptional Details
The guitar comes with a traditional Martin brown tortoise binding, with a complimentary Brown Tortoise pattern pickguard. The Bold Herringbone with Multi-Stripe Rosette finishes off the delightful details on this amazing Martin acoustic.
Fishman Matrix VT Enhance NT2
The GPC-16E comes with a Fishman Matrix VT Enhance NT2 built in. This Pickup is engineered so that the natural acoustic tone isn't lost when amplified and the listener still hears the instinctive acoustic character
